

Dr. Susan Binder is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is a proud member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. Dr. Binder earned her medical degree with honors in dermatology from the New York University School of Medicine, following her undergraduate studies at NYU. Her training includes an internship at Yale University, a dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate, and prior medical residency training at Yale–New Haven Hospital.
Coming from a long family tradition of physicians, Dr. Binder is part of a legacy spanning four generations. She currently serves as a faculty member at Mount Sinai Hospital and Columbia University–New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she has been teaching medical and cosmetic dermatology for over 15 years. Throughout her career, Dr. Binder has mentored numerous residents in both dermatology disciplines, offering guidance and expertise in the field.
Dr. Binder’s dermatology expertise has been recognized by peers and patients alike. She has been named one of Castle Connolly's Top Doctors in New York from 2017 to 2025 and was recognized in 2025 as one of the Exceptional Women in Medicine, cementing her status as one of the leading dermatologists in New York. For over a decade, Dr. Binder has also contributed to InStyle magazine, where she shares her in-depth knowledge on dermatology and cosmetic procedures, offering skin care tips to a broad audience.
